Binod Kumar, Founder and Director of Career Platform Coaching Centre Pvt. Ltd., is an educator and entrepreneur whose journey reflects determination, education and a gradual transition from a rural background to the corporate world and finally to entrepreneurship.
Born and brought up in Village and Post Office Makhanaha, Via Narehia, Andhramanth, Madhubani, Bihar, Binod Kumar comes from a village background. His early life and education shaped his belief that quality education can create opportunities and change the direction of a person’s career.
Early Education
Binod Kumar completed his schooling in Bihar.
He completed his Class 10 education from M. L. Academy, Darbhanga, followed by Class 12 from L. P. Shahi College, Patna.
After completing his school education, he decided to pursue engineering and moved forward towards higher education.
B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering
Binod Kumar completed his B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) from Magadh University.
Engineering provided him with a technical foundation and developed his interest in technology, analytical thinking and problem-solving.
However, his professional journey later expanded beyond engineering into management and education.
MBA in Marketing & IT
After completing his engineering degree, Binod Kumar pursued an MBA in Marketing & IT from Netaji Subhas Institute of Business Management, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
The combination of B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering and MBA in Marketing & IT gave him exposure to both technology and business management.
This educational background later became useful in his corporate career as well as in building his own education organisation.
Beginning of Corporate Career
In 2013, Binod Kumar began his professional corporate career after being placed with the Aditya Birla Group in New Delhi.
Working in a corporate environment gave him practical exposure to professional systems, teamwork, business operations and organisational culture.
After gaining experience with the Aditya Birla Group, he later moved to Wipro to further develop his professional experience.
His corporate journey helped him understand how large organisations operate and strengthened his interest in building something of his own.
The Decision to Become an Entrepreneur
After gaining corporate experience, Binod Kumar decided to take a different path.
Instead of continuing only with a corporate career, he wanted to work more directly in the field of education and contribute to students’ academic development.
This vision eventually led to the establishment of Career Platform Coaching Centre in 2016.
Founding Career Platform in 2016
In 2016, Binod Kumar started Career Platform Coaching Centre in New Delhi.
The organisation began with the objective of providing structured academic guidance to students and helping them prepare for school and competitive examinations.
The initial journey was modest, but the idea was clear: create a learning environment where students could build strong fundamentals, practise consistently and receive proper academic guidance.
Over time, Career Platform developed its academic focus around JEE, NEET-UG, Foundation, CBSE Classes 6–12 and Olympiad preparation.
The organisation has also developed an online presence to provide students with educational resources and examination-related information. Career Platform’s current website reflects its focus on JEE, NEET and school-level foundation education.
Education as a Mission
For Binod Kumar, education is not simply about completing a syllabus. He believes that students need strong fundamentals, regular practice, proper guidance and a disciplined approach to achieve their academic goals.
His experience in engineering, management and the corporate sector has contributed to his approach towards building Career Platform as an education-focused organisation.
